Vratsa

Solar plant

In mid-2012, a modern photovoltaic power plant was put into operation near the Bulgarian town of Vratsa.

Vratsa is the capital of the Vratsa. It is in the Northwest of Bulgaria. This is one of the areas with favourable conditions to produce electricity from solar radiation. Two power plants located next to each other with a total installed capacity of 25 MWp annually produce electricity covering the consumption of more than 13,500 households.

The construction itself took place in the first half of 2012. Supports are attached to the load-bearing piles driven into the ground, which form the basis for S-Energy and AUO-Solar polycrystalline photovoltaic panels. A total of 105,820 pieces are installed.
